Avesh Khan expresses desire to play under MS Dhoni

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is an inspiration to many. Albeit he is not the captain of the Indian cricket team at the moment, he continues to be a mentor for the players in the dressing room. Even on the field, he is often seen taking up the unofficial captain’s hat to take some key decisions and assisting Virat Kohli. Dhoni is known to be an inspiring figure for many cricketers.

Under his leadership, several cricketers have flourished. His instincts and calm brains help him to back individuals even in their worse of times. This, eventually, yields positive result. He had backed up the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja in times when many questioned their places in the side. Now, all these men are super stars of the game.

Needless to say, even today, the youngsters keep revering MS Dhoni. One such youngster, who recently admitted his awe for the former Indian skipper, is Avesh Khan. The promising young fast bowler plays for Madhya Pradesh in the domestic circuit. He was also seen in the India U19 team, as well as in the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp.

As per the recent quotes in Sportswallah, Avesh Khan mentioned that he would love to play under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. He has heard a lot about him and would want to experience playing under him. Avesh further mentioned that he liked playing under Virat Kohli in the IPL and noted that he admires the attitude of the current Indian team skipper.

“If there is any captain I would have loved to play under or would like to play under, it is MS Dhoni. I have never played under his leadership but from what I have heard from my fellow cricketers who have played under him is that he is a great leader and a very calm individual.”
