Team India, after losing to Pakistan and New Zealand, have announced themselves in a daunting way winning by huge margins against Afghanistan and Scotland. They first defeated Mohammad Nabi and his men by 10 wickets and followed it up with a more dominating show winning with 81 balls to spare against Scotland to make their NRR best in the group.

However, their fate isn’t in their hands. All eyes will be on the clash between New Zealand and Afghanistan now on November 7 which will be played in Abu Dhabi. If the Kiwis win it, they will qualify for the semis and India’s hopes will be thrashed. But if Afghanistan manage to trump New Zealand, India will have a golden chance to beat Namibia, by a certain margin, and stunningly make it to the final four.

Ravindra Jadeja, the player of the match in the game against Scotland, confronted with the question regarding the qualification during the post-match press conference. One of the journalists asked him what will the team do if New Zealand doesn’t lose to Afghanistan. The all-rounder came up with a hilarious response to the question stating that the team will pack their bags and go back home.

Here’s the convo:

Question: Abhi baatein chal rahi hain ki agar New Zealand Afghanistan se haar jaata hai to humara chance banega. But agar NZ haarta hi nahi hai to kya karenge?

Ravindra Jadeja: Toh phir bag pack kar ke ghar jayenge aur kya

Ravindra Jadeja starred in India’s thumping win

Meanwhile, Jadeja was the star bowler for India in their thumping win over Scotland. He registered his best figures, 3/15, in T20Is. After opting to bowl first in Dubai, India made full use of the conditions to skittle Scotland for just 85 runs. Apart from Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah also had fun with the ball picking wickets at will.

Then they had to chase down the target very quickly to improve their NRR. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul did just that with the latter smashing a 18-ball century. India reached the target in just 6.3 overs and are now left with a hope that Afghanistan beats New Zealand.
