Bangladesh kept their successful record in ODIs at home sneaking in with a 7-run win against the Afghanistan in the first of the 3-match ODI series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. After electing to bat, Bangladesh were bowled out for 265 on the very last ball of their innings. Afghanistan were favorites to win the game having lost just 2 wickets in the first 40 overs. But the Bangladesh bowlers came up with some excellent death bowling in the last 5 overs as the visitors managed only 258 and got bowled out on the very last ball.
