It was the fourth day of the Second Test match between Australia and Bangladesh as the visitors claimed a handy lead of 72 runs and a wicket in hand, to begin with. Bangladesh had their task cut out to knock out the lead first and post a total challenging enough for the tourists to bat fourth on the day.

Earlier, Bangladesh was dismissed for an under par score of 305, with Lyon starring for the bowlers. Australians, in reply, appeared resolute to take a substantial lead and ended up with a first innings score of 377, with Warner leading by example.

The hosts crumbled under pressure in the second innings and fell prey to yet another incredible spell the from man of the match and one of the men of the series, Nathan Lyon. Australia completed the formalities with only 86 runs to chase down. In the end, Australia won the 2nd Test match by a margin of 7 wickets and shared the two-match Test series at 1-1. Let us look at the five talking points from the Test match.

Australia’s strike bowler in the series, Nathan Lyon, single-handedly dismissed Bangladesh in both the innings with his spells in the match. He clinched a whopping seven wickets in the first innings and came back to haunt the hosts again in the second innings with his six wickets haul.

In the first Test match, he picked up 9 wickets in total. Overall, one of the two men of the series, Lyon, ended up with 22 wickets in the series. Bangladesh had no answer to the nagging line and length of Lyon who made full use of the sub continental conditions of Bangladesh.
