3. Alex Carey

Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey was released by the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of IPL 2021 after he had failed to make a mark in whatever chances he got during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The 29-year-old had featured in just 3 games scoring just 32 runs at an average of 16 and strike rate of 110.3. Carey was also just ordinary behind the wickets as he effected two catches in the marquee tournament. However, this is just the beginning for Alex Carey and he is expected to reach greater heights in his cricket career.
Carey has produced stunning performance in the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) for Adelaide Strikers with 412 runs to his name including one century and two half-centuries in 12 games at an average of 34.33 and strike rate of 126.38. The 29-year-old was also decent behind the stumps as he completed 20 catches.
