Hasin Jahan, Mohammed Shami’s wife had accused the pacer of physical and mental abuse, and of having extra-marital affairs. Jahan seemed to have come up with more and more revelations with each passing day. She even accused her husband of trying to kill her. However, much to the relief of Shami, he was given a clean chit by the BCCI in an inquiry conducted by its Anti Corruption Unit (ACU).

Hasin Jahan met Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal and also sought the BCCI’s help to solver her legal matter with her husband. However, acting president CK Khanna refused to indulge BCCI in her personal matter. The BCCI is a cricketing body and for it to involve itself in family matters would not be fair.

“Hasin Jahan met me with a request that BCCI should look into the matter. I told her that it was their personal affair which should be settled within the family. It would be the interest of all, including Shami because he is in the Indian team and we would like him to perform well in the IPL and forthcoming England series,” Khanna told ANI after meeting with Jahan.

Jahan requested Khanna to put more pressure on Shami

Apparently, Jahan had requested CK Khanna to put pressure on Shami to admit his wrongdoings in public. CK Khanna refused to be a part of such affairs and asked her to seek the help of her family. “Shami is just trying to gain sympathy from media. He does not care about me and our daughter. I am living in a small guest house here but he had not contacted me even once to meet his daughter.” Jahan said before her meeting with CK Khanna.

The Indian pacer had also met with an accident on March 24 that saw him injuring his head. However, he will be eager to make a mark in the Indian Premier League and also in the forthcoming tour to England.
