Bevan or MS Dhoni - Michael Vaughan picks his preferred finisher in ODIs

Former English cricketer Michael Vaughan is known for his bold remarks on the social media. In the recent times, he has been creating many polls and fan interactions on the micro-blogging site Twitter. He ensures that he keeps his cricket thoughts put across on the table for the cricket fans. While some of his tweets do not get down well with all the fans, there are a few that certainly many agree with.

Recently, Michael Vaughan had an interactive session with the cricket fans. The fans used the hashtag ‘#AskVaughan’ to ask questions to the former English captain. One of the questions asked during this interaction was about the finisher in ODIs.

A fan asked Vaughan who would he pick as the finisher in his dream ODI side – whether it would be former Australian great Michael Bevan or veteran Indian campaigner MS Dhoni. Vaughan was quick to answer the question. He remarked that it would undoubtedly be MS Dhoni. Also, he noted that this is no-brainer to guess that Dhoni would make the cut as the finisher in a dream ODI side.

Well, in the recent times, there seems to be a lot of love shown by Michael Vaughan for the Indian cricketers. Recently, when team India toured South Africa, Vaughan often kept tweeting for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He looked awestruck by the sublime form of the Indian captain. Time and again, he posted social media updates hailing the Indian captain as the greatest ever ODI player.

Prior to that, there also came an episode when Vaughan kept asking his fans to pick one from Jos Buttler and MS Dhoni as the ideal finisher. In another poll, he had tried to check the loyalty of Indian fans by asking them to choose one among Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.
