BPL 2017: Luke Wright and Samit Patel engage in friendly arm-wrestling contest

The 2017 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has got underway and the players are having a great time in the T20 extravaganza. These T20 leagues are often marked as more entertaining contests owing to the fun events that the players participate in whilst being off the field. Recently, two players of the Rajshahi Kings – Luke Wright and Samit Patel – were seen being involved in a friendly arm-wrestling contest.

The two English cricketers certainly did enjoy themselves in the activity and were seen all smiles. The official social media handle of the Rajshahi Kings were quick to post the video of the same on the micro blogging site Twitter. The fans absolutely loved the video and kept commenting on it. The caption that the Rajshahi Kings tagged along with the video was quite catchy too.

Well, on the day, it was Luke Wright who won the contest. The hard-hitting veteran English all-rounder was quick to take to Twitter to express his excitement over his apparent first-ever arm-wrestling contest win. He mentioned that it was one of the most random things that he has ever been asked to do.

In a very cheeky message, he thanked Samit Patel for letting him win. Well, it seems that Wright was being a little too modest. After all, he was seen flexing his biceps at the end of the video clip! He certainly did pack a punch on the arm-wrestling table. Now, the franchise would hope that he uses the same brute force against the oppositions on the field!
