Leg-spin is one of the most difficult arts in cricket. It was thought of being a dying skill in the later stages of the 1980s until a magician [Read: Shane Warne] masquerading as a spin bowler completely revolutionized the art with his outward talent.
Warne and Anil Kumble continued to carry the mantle of leg-spin bowling throughout the 1990s and 2000s. The advent of Twenty20 cricket was thought to be a death knell in the coffin of wrist-spinners but, the reality is, its effect has been completely opposite.
T20 cricket has revolutionized wrist-spin bowling and with two brand new balls being used in 50-over cricket, off-spinners have been gradually sidelined in white-ball cricket, with each boasting at least one quality leg-spinner.
From the likes of Rashid Khan to Imran Tahir to Kuldeep Yadav to the wily Yuzvendra Chahal, there are a plethora of match-winning leg-spinners in white-ball cricket currently. But the former Australia cricketer Brag Hogg has picked Adam Zampa as his favourite leg-spinner of the current era.
His resilience is second to none, says Brad Hogg of Zampa
Exactly the same question a fan asked the two-time World Cup-winning Aussie spinner during the #AskHogg session. “Who is your favourite leg spinner in present players?” a fan asked.
And, Brad Hogg didn’t hesitate one bit in naming his compatriot Adam Zampa. He also explained the reasons for the same stating that the leggie has time and again proved his mettle whenever he has got a chance to play for Australia.
“Zampa, because Australia is pace minded in there approach to selection, he is always in & out for a variety of reasons & he keeps proving them he can bowl in all conditions. His Resilience is second to none. #hoggytime #spintowin” he replied.

Another fan had asked the question to Brad Hogg if him dismissing Sachin Tendulkar was one of his most memorable wickets. However, the former Australian cricketer rated his dismissal of Andy Flower during the 2003 World Cup as his most memorable moment, purely because he was making a comeback to the Aussie team after a hiatus, following a last-minute call-up to the squad.
Good point, that is the second, there was a lot more behind the scenes with the Andy Flower ball in trying to establish myself in the team. https://t.co/2MvSpAgaqt
