There is no doubt that the current Pakistan T20 captain Babar Azam is one of the most prolific batsmen going around in world cricket. The stylish right-handed batsman has embarked on an unreal consistency across all the three formats of the game- Tests, One-day Internationals and Twenty20 Cricket- and is being pipped as the next big thing of Pakistan cricket.

Azam is one of the batsmen in the world who have thrived in all three formats. The No.1 ranked T20I batsman in the world is in the top-five ranking in each of three formats at third and fifth position in ODIs and Test matches currently.

Babar Azam, courtesy his consistency, is steadily threatening to topple the monopoly of the Fab-4 in Indian captain and superstar Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Kane Williamson and is warranting himself a place in the elite list of modern era batsman who are thriving in all the formats of the game.

But, for some former cricketers and pundits, Babar has already made his way into the Fab-4, and that includes former Aussie chinaman leg-spinner, Brad Hogg. Hogg was asked by one the Pakistani fans on Twitter on who according to him, makes up a Fab-Four across the three formats,

According to the former World Cup winner, Brad Hogg, the top-4 batsman of the modern era which he loves seeing bat are Kiwi opener Tom Latham, former Aussie captain and the current No.1 ranked Test batsmen in the world Steve Smith, Indian superstar Virat Kohli, and Babar Azam.

Coming to the 50-over format, Brad Hogg chose Babar Azam alongside Quinton de Kock, Virat Kohli- the highest run-scorer in ODI cricket in the current era and England’s swashbuckling opening batsman Johnny Bairstow. When it came to the T20I side of things, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma, England’s captain Eoin Morgan joined the list alongside Kohli and Azam, of course.

In fact, when a fan asked as to which PSL side, Hogg would want to be a part of, the former Aussie said that he is happy to be with any side that has Babar Azam. “Four Batters I love watching today are: Tests – Babar Azam, Tom Latham, Steve Smith, Virat Kohli; ODI – Babar Azam, De Kock, Virat Kohli, Johnny Bairstow; T20I – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Eoin Morgan, Babar Azam,” Hogg replied to a fan’s tweet asking him his ‘Fab-4’ across formats.
