Brett Lee names Amitabh Bachchan as his favourite actor

It takes us back to the year of 2006, where Brett Lee revealed his desire to act in a movie with the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood.

Former Australian speedster Brett Lee holds a special place in his heart for India. Not only Brett Lee but many Australians including Matthew Hayden absolutely love to be in India. However, Brett Lee is one of those few cricketers who have been closely related to Hindi film industry, Bollywood. Brett Lee was also a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team which is owned by superstar Shah Rukh Khan and had a strong bond with the ‘Baadshah’.

Brett Lee gave us another proof of his close relationship with Bollywood industry as he answered a fan’s question on Twitter. When a fan asked the deadly fast bowler about his favourite Bollywood actor, Brett Lee answered it without any hesitation. Lee mentioned that his favourite actor is none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. His tweet read “It would have to be @SrBachchan”.

It takes us back to the year of 2006, where Lee revealed his desire to act in a movie with the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood. Brett Lee had stated that he would prefer Bollywood to the Hollywood and termed Amitabh as an icon.

Lee has previously acted in a few Bollywood movies, namely Taal and UnIndian. He had also featured in a duet song with legendary singer Asha Bhosle which went viral on the internet. Lee is currently in the country as he is involved with the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League as a commentator. He also met school children in Chennai and had a wonderful time with the kids. Aussie cricketer Matthew Hayden is also involved with the league and was also present at the inauguration ceremony. The quickie is also known to be a great admirer of Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, his owner at the Kings Xi Punjab. In his question answer round with the fans on Twitter, he took the name of Preity Zinta when asked about his favourite B-town actress. According to Lee, his favourite Indian dish is the ever-so-popular butter chicken.
