The Coronavirus outbreak has forced the cricketers to stay inside their home. With no cricket going on across the world, the players have no option but to train at home and spend time with their family. Apart from resorting to social media to interact with teammates and fans, the OTT platforms are also helping them stay upbeat during these tough times.

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir is also doing the same enjoying watching web series to pass his time. However, he came across an interesting character while watching the popular Turkish TV series Dirilis Ertugrul Ghazi who looks exactly like the India skipper Virat Kohli.

The Turkish drama is based on the heroic story of Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Osman (Uthman) who founded the Ottoman Empire. The TV series is spread across five seasons with as many as 448 episodes for the viewers to watch.

Mohammad Amir’s hilarious question to India captain

Coming back to Mohammad Amir, he took to Twitter as soon as he came across Virat Kohli’s lookalike and hilariously asked him if he is actually acting in the drama. “@imVkohli brother is it you m confused,” his tweet read.

Here’s his tweet:

As far as Virat Kohli’s lookalike is concerned, the character is played by the Turkish actor and producer Cavit Çetin Güner. He is known for his exceptional work in Dirilis Ertugrul, the series which first released in 2014, Long time Ago and Be Witness Documentary (both released in 2019). The actor is very similar to how Kohli looks and one of his Instagram pictures is a testament to it.

Now that Mohammad Amir has highlighted it, soon the picture and the TV series is likely to go viral in India. It will also be interesting to see if Virat Kohli himself responds to Amir’s tweet. At the moment, the 31-year-old is relaxing at his home in Mumbai along with his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma amid the nationwide lockdown. He has also time and again spread awareness about the Coronavirus and urged the fans to stay at home.
