Chris Lynn and Aaron Finch joined the list of Australians, who got injured during the series against Sri Lanka and hence will not feature in the T20 international (T20I) series against the hosts.
Australia’s physiotherapist David Beakley said that Lynn has dislocated his left shoulder while he was dived during a fielding drill and a further investigation is required to determine the extent of the injury. Whereas Finch was injured his finger while fielding in the final ODI match against Sri Lanka.
“Chris dislocated his left shoulder whilst diving during a fielding drill at training today,” Beakley said. “Consequently, he will be unavailable for the remaining matches and instead will return to Brisbane to undergo a further investigation to determine the full extent of the injury.”
“Aaron was hit on the right index finger when fielding a ball [during the fifth ODI] and subsequent x-rays have shown a fracture,” added the physiotherapist.
