The Trinbago Knight Riders cruised to their 4th consecutive win of the CPL 2020 with a comfortable 6-wicket win against the St Lucia Zouks on Wednesday morning. The St Lucia franchise was limited to 111/6 in 17.1 overs before the rain arrived. Dwayne Bravo conceded only seven runs in the three overs he bowled and also bagged two wickets. The TKR team got a revised target of 72 in nine overs but they chased it down with an over to spare even after losing four wickets inside the first four overs.

Trinbago’s unbeaten streak against Zouks:

12 – The Trinidad franchise has not lost even one match in the CPL whenever they batted second against St Lucia Zouks. They successfully chased down the target in ten matches in the CPL against the Zouks while another two matches ended without a result.

The 6-wicket win on Wednesday extends TKR’s unbeaten streak against St Lucia Zouks to nine matches. The Zouks have been defeated eight times in those nine games while the last year’s meeting ended in a washout.


DJ Bravo’s milestone day:

1 – Dwayne Bravo became the first player in the history of Twenty20 cricket to reach 500 wickets. He was also the first player to complete 300 and 400 wickets in this format.

1 – Rahkeem Cornwall was Dwayne Bravo’s 500th T20 wicket and also his 100th wicket in the Caribbean Premier League. Bravo became the first player to complete 100 wickets in the CPL as well.

Tambe makes his CPL debut:

48y 323d – At the age of 48 years and 323 days, Pravin Tambe became the oldest player to feature in a franchise T20 league match. He surpassed Brad Hogg (46y 350d) who last played a T20 game during the BBL 2017-08 about two weeks before his 47th birthday.

Pravin Tambe is also the oldest Indian born cricketer to feature in a T20 match. Previous oldest was Tarun Sharma who was 47 years and 160 days when he last played a T20I in 2019 for Mexico against Argentina. Tambe is also the first Indian player to feature in an official Men’s T20 league other than IPL.

48y 323d – Pravin Tambe is now also the 2nd oldest player to pick a T20 wicket in Men’s cricket. Tony Whiteman of Luxembourg was 50 years and 100 days when he picked up his lone wicket in T20I against the Czech Republic last year.


Darren Bravo @ 100 sixes:

101 – Darren Bravo completed 100 sixes in the CPL with the first of his two maximums against the Zouks. He is now the 5th player in the history of CPL to smash as many as 100 sixes. Darren is also the 3rd player to his 100 CPL sixes for a single team after Chris Gayle (Jamaica Tallawahs) and Evin Lewis (SKN Patriots).


Yet another duck for Simmons:

9 – Lendl Simmons now has been dismissed for a duck on nine occasions in the Caribbean Premier League; the joint-most ducks in the CPL alongside Sunil Narine who also has bagged nine ducks.

11 – Simmons has bagged as many as nine ducks in the Twenty20 matches he played in the Caribbean Islands; the most number of T20 ducks for any player in this part of the world. Nine of them came in the CPL matches; the most CPL ducks for any player in the West Indies going past Sunil Narine’s 8 ducks (Another duck came in the USA).
