3. Jason Roy

Jason Roy was bought for his base price of INR 2 Crore in the IPL 2022 auction by the Gujarat Titans and a lot of experts claimed it as a steal buy given his immense potential. However, Roy pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons and wasn’t available for the tournament. Subsequently, Gujarat Titans have released him ahead of the IPL 2023 Auction.

Roy has played for the Delhi franchise and the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past and he has done a decent job in his 13 innings scoring 329 runs at an average of 29.91. His T20I strike is better than his IPL strike rate and it will be only a matter of time until he comes to the party in the cash rich tournament.

Roy had missed a lot of international action in recent times; however, his attacking style of play will certainly work in his favour of him in the auction. With the demand for explosive openers, Roy is expected to gain big bucks in the mini auction.
