4. Evin Lewis

Among the long list of West Indian cricketers that were released, Evin Lewis had also found a place. The left-hander who is one of the most destructive batters going around was snapped up by the Lucknow Super Giants for INR 2 Crore. He played five innings in the previous edition but did not get his preferred position at the top and had to slot into the middle order.

Among the five innings, Lewis played a breadth-taking knock of unbeaten 55 to take his side home in a nail-biting run-chase. No doubt that Lewis can be quite impactful with his six-hitting abilities despite his recent form in the T20 World Cup 2022 taking a blow.

He adds up a left-hander option at the top and can easily clear the ropes in Indian conditions with his mascular body. The franchises will definitely eye him in their squad in the IPL 2023 Auction even if he is not in the first choice XI, but due to the fact that he could be useful as a backup opener.
