The Netherlands team entered into the Super 12 with two wins in three league matches and looked spirited with their performances. However, they lost both their league matches in Week 1, and are nearly out of contention for the semi-finals.
In the first game against Bangladesh, the Dutch team did well in the bowling unit to restrict the opposition to 144 with proficient bowling performances. In reply, the Scott Edwards-led side fell short by nine runs.
The second game witnessed them clashing against India, wherein they started well with the ball but went on to concede 179. Then, they could not cope up to the pressure of a big score and could only score 123 in their designated quota of 20 overs.
