7. Afghanistan - Mohammad Saleem Safi

Mohammad Saleem has been a consistent performer in Afghanistan's first-class circuit. He has played 12 matches and taken 41 wickets at an average of 27.51. At the Shpageeza Cricket League 2022, the 20-year-old showed that he can deliver the goods in the shortest format as well.

Saleem made nine appearances for Boost Defenders at the Afghanistan T20 competition and bagged 11 wickets in nine games at an economy of 6.63 playing a crucial role in his team’s road to the Final. On the back of the stellar showings, he fast-tracked his way into the T20 World Cup squad.

However, Saleem is yet to make his international debut. And given Mohammad Nabi & Co. have experienced pacers like Farid Ahmad Malik, Fazal Haq Farooqi, and Naveen ul Haq at their disposal, the youngster might not get a chance at the upcoming T20 extravaganza in Australia.
