Micheal Bracewell has set the international circuit ablaze with his exploits with the bat and bowl. Talking about the shortest format, he has played eight games for New Zealand and has smashed 89 runs at an insane strike rate of 206.97. He has also taken nine wickets at an economy of 5.59.
The ace all-rounder has performed quite well in ODIs as well scoring 264 runs in 12 games at a strike rate of 110.92 and has also taken10 scalps for his team. Bracewell’s splendid performances enabled him to break into the Blackcaps’ T20 World Cup squad. His inclusion adds depth to the side but given the makeup of the team, it might be difficult for him to get a game.
New Zealand is likely to field veteran all-rounders <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/james-neesham-bids-farewell-to-wellington-firebirds-after-four-year-career/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">James Neesham</a>, Daryl Mitchell, and Mitchell Santner in the XI and this makes slotting in another all-rounder doubtful. Also, if the team ponders upon including a spinner, the veteran Ish Sodhi is likely to get a nod ahead of Bracewell and Australian conditions would not require three spinners in the XI any day. Thus the all-rounder might not get any games at the global tournament.

<h3>3. England - David Willey</h3>

David Willey has been a regular feature for England in the shortest format of the game. He has played 41 T20Is and picked 50 wickets at an economy of 8.17. The 32-year-old has also made some vital contributions with the bat and scored 226 runs at a strike of 132.16.
The Northampton-born was part of England’s World Cup squad last year and this year also the team management has shown faith in him. However, with the likes of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/chris-woakes-likely-to-miss-the-first-test-vs-new-zealand-at-lords/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chris Woakes</a> and Mark Wood back in the scheme of things, Willey's chances to play at the marquee event are quite grim.
Apart from Woakes and Wood, Jos Buttler &amp; Co. also have Chris Jordan, Sam Curran, and Reece Topley. The tall and lanky pacer is known to trouble batters with his extra bounce and it can be likely that England might go with him as a left-arm option in the starting XI. But with Ben Stokes already in the team proving another left-arm option and Curran an able backup option, Willey slotting in the team is quite tough.

<h3>2. Australia - Josh Inglis</h3>

Josh Inglis has been a proven performer in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 81 T20 games and has accumulated 2005 runs at a stunning strike rate of 147.86. He has the ability to take any bowling attack to the cleaners and the swashbuckling batter has been part of the Australia T20 setup since the last year’s T20 World Cup.
Inglis has got nine opportunities to play for his national side in T20Is and has scored 220 runs at a strike rate of 141.02. Courtesy of the outstanding showings, the wicketkeeper-batter has retained his spot for the forthcoming global tournament.
Australia have <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-news/reports-matthew-wade-likely-to-be-australias-backup-for-captaincy-role-for-t20-world-cup-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Matthew Wade</a> as their top wicketkeeper who has been performing the role of a finisher remarkably well. With him on the side, the 27-year-old might not get an opportunity to make his World Cup debut. Also, the chances for Inglis who is a designated opener to slot in at the top are bleak in the presence of the ace opening pair of Aaron Finch and David Warner.

<h3>1. India - Deepak Hooda</h3>

In IPL 2022, he amassed 451 runs for Lucknow Super Giants at a strike rate of 136.67. The Rohtak-born also set the international stage on fire with his batting displays. He has featured in 12 T20I games for India and scored 293 runs at a strike rate of 155.85.
Courtesy of the impressive showings, Hooda was picked for the marquee event. However, it is unlikely the batting all-rounder will get a chance in India’s star-studded playing XI. However, he has scored on most of his T20I runs at the top of the order but with the likes of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli in the mix, the 27-year-old might not get a chance at the top.
Hooda has shown the versatility to bat in the lower-middle order but has not delivered in that position. Also, India’s team composition requires six bowling options which means Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel are likely to slot into the team. Moreover, in case of injury to any batter, the Men in Blue are likely to go with Rishabh Pant which gives a left-hand option in the middle-order.
