The WPL 2024 auction recently happened in Mumbai on December 9. There were 30 spots to be filled and some of the players got eye-watering bids. At the WPL 2024 auction, 165 players went under the hammer. 

With five franchises (Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz) vying for 30 players, competition for each player was fierce. Many players were left out due to squad composition, money, and a shortage of cash. In this article, we take a look at -

5. Amy Jones

Veteran England keeper-batter Amy Jones had kept her base price at INR 40 lakhs. Amy Jones has scored 1380 T20I runs at an average and a strike rate of 21.77 and 122.28, respectively, and has been sharp behind the stumps. Despite this amazing record with the bat and keeping abilities, Jones failed to find a buyer as all franchises had other quality keepers and backups.
