1. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy made his Test debut in the 2024/25 edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was impressive with the bat in his first couple of games in Australia. However, his best came in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, where he announced his arrival on the big stage with a gritty century. His gameplay, filled with a lot of intent, was quite refreshing to witness, even as India lost the series 1-3.
As of the first Test, he is not a part of the XI. However, there is a growing likelihood that he could be drafted into the mix in the matches to come if either of Ravindra Jadeja or Shardul Thakur fall short of expectations to the expected level of the management.
