In the 26th match of World Cup 2019, Bangladesh faced Australia in Nottingham. Winning the toss, Australia captain, Aaron Finch, elected to bat first. Riding on David Warner’s 166 (147) and Usman Khawaja’s 89 (72), they posted a massive total of 381/5 at the end of their 50 overs.

Following the huge target, Bangladesh lost their opener Soumya Sarkar early but the 79-run steady partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan showed, the Bangla side has the intention to confront the Aussie bowlers for 50 overs. In the end, Finch and his men pocketed a 48-run victory but what grabbed everyone's attention was Mushfiqur Rahim’s unbeaten knock of 102 off 97.

Against Australia’s quality bowling attack, Rahim displayed an unwavering spirit to help his team complete its 50 overs on the crease. Along with that, the flamboyant wicketkeeper batter also ensured that Bangladesh also succeeded in scoring their highest-ever World Cup score (333/8).
