India suffered a gut-wrenching 22-run defeat in the third Test against England, which was played at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London, in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. The pulsating encounter lived up to its hype as both teams battled hard to wrestle the momentum in their favour.
The Lord's, also referred to as the Home of Cricket, is known for its rich history and heritage. Cricketers wait to play at the iconic venue at least once in their careers. Over the years, the venue has hosted some memorable matches, and The Baggy Blues' latest clash against The Three Lions certainly fell in that category.
There's also a tradition of ringing the iconic bell at the historic cricketing arena before the start of play. The five-minute bell-ringing tradition was followed in the third Test as well. One active and two former Indian cricketers received the honour of ringing the bell on three out of the five days of riveting cricketing action in London.
Let's look at the three Indian cricketers who rang the bell in Lord's Test
1. Sachin Tendulkar

The legendary Sachin Tendulkar rang the bell before the start of play on Day 1 of the Lord's Test. Before this, Tendulkar was honoured in a private event inside the Lord's museum, where he unveiled his own portrait alongside former MCC President, Mark Nicholas. The Master Blaster is the highest run-scorer in international cricket, having amassed 34,357 runs across the three formats.
