2. Matthew Hayden (2009)- Retired, Cricket Commentator

Matthew Hayden was one of the best openers for Australia and was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in 2008. The top-order batter was at his fluent best in the 2009 season, which took place in South Africa. Hayden topped the scoring charts that year with 572 runs from the 12 innings he played at a fantastic average of 52.00. He also maintained a healthy strike rate of 144.81, becoming the second Australian batter to win the Orange Cap.
Hayden, now 53, hung his boots from all forms of cricket in 2009 including the IPL, but is still making his presence felt in the tournament. Hayden is currently part of the commentary panel for IPL 2025, sharing his insights and experiences in the mega tournament.
