Sachin Tendulkar was one of the key players for the Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013. The first two seasons saw the Master Blaster struggling to get used to the format, but he eventually had one of his best seasons in 2010, where he became the first Indian player to win the Orange Cap. Tendulkar scored 618 runs at an average of 47.53 and had a strike rate of 132.61. His performances helped the Mumbai franchise reach the finals that year as well.
Sachin had played his last competitive game in 2013, which is also the year he retired from all forms of cricket. The Mumbai-born, after retiring from the game, had been a mentor of the MI franchise and now acts as an Icon for the franchise, and also had a short stint in Indian politics as a Rajya Sabha member. He is currently working as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, where he has decided to donate a lot of money and show support towards proper health and education for the underprivileged.
