The inaugural season of SA20 will kick off on January 10, 2023. The newly formed T20 tournament is expected to deliver some amazing T20 action for cricket fans. With prominent names taking part in the league, fans will look forward to witness some competitive cricket. The tournament will feature 33 matches with six team locking horns in the round-robin stage to qualify for the knockout round.

The SA20 auction was held at the Cape Town Conventional Centre in South Africa in September and 533 players registered for it. Among all the participating names, the franchises picked some figures who have the potential to deliver. The marquee event will also feature some players who lit up the T20 World Cup 2022 with their spectacular display. Keeping those top performers in mind, the franchise and fans are expecting them to replicate their fine showing in the inaugural edition of the South African league.

Below are some players who are favourites to shine in the SA20 inaugural season of SA20

5. Adil Rashid (Pretoria Capitals)

Adil Rashid delivered exceptional performances for England in the T20 World Cup 2022. On the fast tracks of Australia, the spinner delivered frugal spells to his team in the competition. With four wickets in just six games at a scintillating economy of 6.12, he played a crucial role in England’s success.

In the SA20 tournament, the England spinner is a part of Pretoria Capitals as he was sold at 2.4 million rands. In the upcoming tournament, he will strive to do justice with his sold price delivering some swashbuckling bowling displays. The franchise will also rely on him to lead the spin attack with his vast experience and incredible skills.

To strengthen the bowling unit of the Capitals, the veteran will be supported by experienced Wayne Parnell and Anrich Nortje. Looking at the leggie’s current form, it could be said that he might be too hot to handle for batters.
