Adil Rashid has been a prominent figure in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 248 games in the shortest format and bagged 275 wickets at an economy of 7.48. The 34-year-old is known to bamboozle batters with his variations and provide his side with crucial breakthroughs.

The veteran spinner has been England's mainstay with the ball in limited-overs cricket. Rashid has been a strike force in the middle phases of the innings and bagged a total of 93 scalps in 92 T20Is at an economy of 7.42.

The Yorkshire-born will go under the hammer at the IPL 2023 auction and has kept himself in the INR 2 crore bracket. Rashid can bring in a pleathora of experience to any side and given his exploits in the shortest format, franchises might be interested in having him at their disposal.

Here are five teams that might target Adil Rashid at auction:

5. SunRisers Hyderabad

SunRisers Hyderabad had a miserable campaign in the 15th edition of the lucrative T20 tournament. They could manage just six wins under their belt and ended the league stage at the eighth position. In order to make amends for the next season, SRH have made some bold calls and parted ways with 12 of their players.

Hyderabad’s release list includes spinners such as Shreyas Gopal and Jagadeesha Suchith. With the exit of the duo, SRH only have the services of Washington Sundar in the spin department. Thus, the team management is likely to go hunting for a top-drawer spinner at the upcoming auction.

Rashid is one of the finest spinners in the white-ball circuit at the moment. Also, the 34-year-old being a leg-spinner will form a great foil to Sundar. Therefore, the Hyderabad franchise might raise their paddle to sign the Yorkshire-born at the forthcoming player auction.
