1. Suryakumar Yadav
“I am not out of form, just out of runs”, were the words of Suryakumar Yadav when he was asked about his recent struggles with the bat. And he proved that right by returning to his vintage best during the New Zealand series. The Indian captain was the highest run-getter of the series, scoring 242 runs in five innings, at an average of over 80 and a strike rate of 196.74, and with three fifty-plus scores.
Once one of the most feared T20I batters, the 35-year-old had a horrid year with the bat in 2025, managing to score mere 218 runs in 19 innings, without a single fifty. But he came back strong and helped his team clinch the series 4-1, ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
