4. Shardul Thakur (INR 10.75 CR)

Shardul Thakur has been a regular feature in the Indian Premier League. He has featured in 75 matches in the lucrative T20 tournament and bagged 82 wickets at an economy of 9.06. Also, the 31-year-old has shown that he is no muck with the bat and has provided handy contributions to the side.

The Palghar-born also has done a good job in the international arena bagging 33 wickets in 25 T20Is. Delhi Capitals roped in the experienced campaigner for the 2022 season to provide depth to the side. Though Shardul took 15 scalps in 14 games for the Delhi franchise, he conceded runs at an economy of 9.79. On the batting front, he faired well smashing 120 runs at a strike rate of 137.83.

Given the Delhi franchise invested 10.75 CR for Shardul, it does not seem that the bowling all-rounder has been able to perform well enough to justify that price tag. Also, there are reports of DC being inclined towards releasing the cricketer ahead of the mini-auction. Given the Indian cricketer provides balance to the side with his all-round prowess, it should not be a surprise if Rishabh Pant & Co. try to rope him at a cheaper price at the forthcoming auction.
