Both MI and CSK had a forgettable last season as they finished at the bottom of the table.

2. Cameron Green

After the retirements of Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, MI and CSK will look to find their replacements in the upcoming auction. As a batting all-rounder for MI, Pollard served the team for 12 years. However, in the previous edition, he looked out of colours. The same happened with Bravo too as he failed to make it to the 2023 retention list of the CSK.

Therefore, there are high chances that MI and CSK could lock horns with each other to get Green at the auction. As a batter, Green’s fearless batting makes him similar to Pollard. His T20I display with the bat against India also established him as an adept match-winner who could win important games with his power-hitting ability.

The Aussie cricketer has the ability to contribute with his fast bowling too, which could tempt both franchises. Playing against England in Ashes 2021-22, the 22-year-old showcased his bowling skills, scalping thirteen wickets in five matches.
