Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are the most popular sides in the Indian Premier League (IPL), alongside five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI). On the one side, CSK have won four titles while on the other, RCB are yet to lift the trophy for the first time. However, what brings both sides on the same page are the star-studded players and a huge fan following.

Discussing their head-to-head record, Super Kings are ahead of the Bangalore-based franchise with 20 wins. Currently, both teams have big names who could win games with their excellence and skills comfortably. By combining the power of both sides, it could be said that IPL fans will get a formidable side that could wreak havoc on any opponent.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is active in the cash-rich league since 2020, as a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad. In 2021, he grabbed the attention of CSK fans with his fantastic performance. Scoring 635 runs with a ton and four half-centuries in 16 matches at a strike rate of 136.26. Moreover, he went on to become the leading run-scorer and Orange Cap winner.

Gaikwad is a vital cog in the CSK squad due to his fearless batting style. The right-handed batter could become the next big thing in CSK. Currently, Super Kings have assigned him the role of providing fierce starts to their team as an opener along with the New Zealand batter, Devon Conway.

So far, Ruturaj Gaikwad has amassed 1442 runs with a century and 12 fifties in 42 IPL games at a strike rate of 132.42. These numbers of the Gaikwad corroborate his brilliance as a batter. In the upcoming years, he might be seen wearing the national team’s jersey if he continues his form with the bat.
