The Indian Premier League is in the midst of an exciting and closely contested season. With the tournament now at its halfway stage, all of the teams are evenly poised, meaning that every match from here on will be crucial in determining the final standings.

Week four was all about the bottom-placed team Delhi Capitals finding their mojo and making a much-needed comeback. While for the Chennai Super Kings, they were able to put up some solid performance this week. Mumbai Indians have been struggling a bit as their bowlers and batters haven’t clicked together while Gujarat Titans pulled off a miracle this week against Lucknow Super Giants, thanks to Mohit Sharma

Surprisingly, we might have seen Punjab’s future captain in Sam Curran as he was the one leading from the front for the team int he absence of regulas skipper Shikhar Dhawan. Talking about Kolkata Knight Riders, they were able to make a decent comeback against teh Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chinnaswamy. Talking about other teams, LSG have been struggling because of their top order and Sunrisers Hyderabad need to pull their socks up.

Let us have a look at the best XI from the fourth week of the IPL 2023:

Devon Conway has somehow been successful in filling the void that Mike Hussey had left in the CSK camp. His ability to play the role of anchor has helped batters like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube to play their natural game. In the fourth week of the IPL, the CSK management backed him like they always have, and the efforts finally paid off.

During the home game against SRH, Conway scored a fluent 77 from 57 balls at an impressive strike rate of 135.08. Later on, he scored 56 runs from 40 balls versus KKR wherein he stitched an excellent partnership with Ajinkya Rahane. His consistency in finding the gaps and rotating the strike is a huge asset for CSK.

Even though he failed to perform as per expectations in the away game against RR, he has been a successful contributor to the franchise. His temperament is solid as he has been able to take up responsibility when Gaikwad fails to perform. Hence, he opens the lineup in this playing XI to take up the role of the anchor.
