Indian Premier League 2023 is coming to its business end. All teams are still in contention mathematically and the units placed in the lower half of the table beating top-ranked teams may change the equations here.

The sixth week's matches have been quite a journey. Low-score matches to high-scoring chases, we saw it all. Among all the actions, there were some that left everyone spellbound, a few batting performances in particular. Those performances impacted the match in a broad way.

The top-five batting performances from week six feature three Indian batting performances along with two displayed by overseas stars. Most interestingly, the top three performances have come while chasing targets.

It tells how much the standard has increased in the cash-rich league. Special mention to Nehal Wadhera, Mahipal Lomror, Shubman Gill, and Sanju Samson who displayed memorable outings but couldn't make it to the final five.

After several innings, Jos Buttler finally found his golden touch back in the 52nd game of the ongoing season. The England captain was hungry to contribute to his franchise Rajasthan Royals. In this match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he delivered arguably his season's best knock in a crucial game for RR. Jos took his time to settle in, he never looked in a hurry.

He was once at 20 off 20 after the end of the eighth over. From there on, he accelerated his batting gear in such a way that he added 75 runs off the next 39 balls. Anything pitched short at him got hammered into the crowd. He was making the pacers err in terms of their lengths. When Jos gets going, it's tough to bowl at him. He went after Marco Jansen, and Vivrant Sharma and took them to the cleaners.

The way he constructed the innings was a commendable job. He read knuckle balls from Bhuvneshwar Kumar's hand and scored boundaries. He was bound to get to his sixth IPL century, but was denied by Bhuvi who got him plumb leg before the wicket.
