The Indian Premier League 2023 has moved into a new phase, with teams eyeing the title from close quarters. This high-octane action in IPL 2023 has seen some unpredictable performances and eye-catching cameos. Be it Ajinkya Rahane 2.0 or Rinku Singh’s chasing skills, there have been ample moments in the ongoing tournament for viewers to be left amused.

Another thing that turned out to be successful this season is the newly implemented rule of Impact Player. This new strategy was a bit confusing before the season began for fans, cricket analysts, and even the captains, but it has since proven to be a masterstroke.

Utilizing the advantages of having a "player 12" on their team, the teams have made the most of this regulation. Even though not many players had the opportunity to participate in the regular playing 11, their significance as an Impact Player didn't go unnoticed.

Let's look at the five most instrumental performances from Impact Players in the league stages of IPL 2023:

Punjab Kings played their cards right when they decided to go with this young, energetic batter. He has been one of the most promising talents witnessed in this IPL season. In his 14 innings, he has amassed 358 runs at a strike rate of 150.

He has been with the team since 2019 and it was in the 2023 edition of the tournament where he was promoted up the order as an opener. Prabhsimran Singh grabbed the opportunity with both hands and starred on occasions with a series of impressive performances. Apart from playing an attacking innings of 42 off 24 deliveries against Chennai Super Kings at their fortress in Chennai, Prabhsimran also brought up his maiden IPL century against Delhi Capitals.

During his 65-ball 103 against Delhi, he appeared in full control, as 10 of his shots reached the ropes and six of them crossed over. He played a well-balanced knock against DC, scoring 27 runs off of his first 30 balls before going on a tear and scoring 76 runs off of his next 35 balls.
