The IPL has witnessed some great comebacks, which have inspired many teams not to lose hope after having a poor start to their campaign. The never-give-up attitude of the players and their will to fight it till the end has been documented well. While those comebacks were a testament to the mindset of the players, they got into such situations due to a poor start.

There are instances where the teams won only a handful of matches in the first half of the season. In some instances, teams banked on the losses and made amazing returns to enter the playoffs. In many other instances, teams suffered the wrath of others and could not bounce back. It is time to look at such instances when the teams did not have a good start to their campaign.
