From finding his place in the England white-ball set-up as a finisher who is reliable with the ball, to a tumultuous Ashes campaign where he was picked as England's lead spinner over Shoaib Bashir and then being the Three Lions’ best player in the 2026 T20 World Cup, picking up four Player-of-the-Match awards, Will Jacks' last 12 months have been a rollercoaster ride.

His ability with the bat is impressive, being able to muscle the ball over the boundary with ease, but it is his bowling that has improved to a point he is become a reliable and genuine threat as an all-rounder. He was a bane for left-handers throughout the T20 World Cup, a throwback to captain Hardik Pandya using him similarly last year in the IPL as a match-up bowler. He can now turn games around with both bat and ball and MI will hope he is at the best of his powers for the 2026 season.
