Auqib Nabi was the hero of Jammu and Kashmir’s historic Ranji Trophy triumph, playing a crucial role in the team’s maiden title win. The star pacer finished the 2025-26 season as the leading wicket-taker with 60 wickets in just 10 matches at an average of 12.56. His tally included two four-wicket hauls and seven five-fors, with best figures of 7/24.

Nabi reserved his best for the knockout stages. In the quarterfinal, he claimed 12 wickets, including a seven-for, before following it up with a nine-wicket match haul in the semifinal. In the final, his five-wicket haul dismantled a star-studded Karnataka batting line-up and sealed the title based on a first-innings lead. With the bat, he contributed 245 runs and won the Player of the Series.
