To bowl fast is not everybody's cup of tea. Bowling at pace consistently is no cakewalk for it requires dedication, determination, discipline, effort, and, above all, supreme levels of fitness. In current times, when most rules tend to be favouring the batters, mastering the art of fast bowling may not be an attractive option. However, some quicks have drawn attention to themselves purely because of their jaw-dropping performances.

These speedsters have taken world cricket by storm with their exceptional form and skill. With their inswingers, off-cutters, bouncers, and yorkers, these pace bowlers have showcased their performances on the big stage. Currently, they pose a huge threat to batters due to their speed and accuracy, and consistent line and length.

True, fast bowlers are prone to injuries. But some of them despite going through ups and downs have not stopped delivering their best to achieve legendary status in the gentleman's game.

Here are 10 speedsters who are currently bossing the game at the international circuit:

10. Anrich Nortje

Anrich Nortje

Anrich Nortje broke into international cricket back in March 2019. Currently, he is one of the most important bowlers for South Africa across all formats. Along with Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, he reinforces the pace attack of his national side. With his fierce pace, he has troubled a lot of batters during the past four years or so.

So far, he has claimed 133 wickets in 66 international games across all three formats at an economy of 4.60. In the red-ball format, the 29-year-old has claimed 64 wickets in 18 matches at an economy of 3.71. In T20 Internationals, the Protea has hunted 35 batters in 29 games at an economy of 7.11.

In One-Day Internationals too, he is a wicket-taking bowler for his side. The speedster has claimed 34 wickets in 19 appearances at an economy of 5.83. These numbers of Nortje corroborate his potential as a bowler. He is one for the future. He has in him to play many more games for his country.
