Vancouver is all set to host the Canada Super 60, the country’s first professional T10 league, which kicks off on October 8, 2025, at the iconic BC Place Stadium. For the first time, the tournament will feature both men’s and women’s competitions. Among the biggest attractions this season are some of India’s most celebrated cricketers. Joining them are global icons like Shakib Al Hasan, Quinton de Kock, Jason Roy, Moeen Ali, and Imran Tahir, who will represent six franchises. The 34-year-old, who recently announced his retirement from Indian limited-overs cricket, is all set to display his skills in this innovative format. Dhawan’s cricketing career witnessed him leading Himachal Pradesh to their maiden Vijay Hazare Trophy title in 2021-22, and he has been a main player of domestic cricket. The veteran has over 4900 first-class runs and 355 wickets to his name. Notably, he represented India in three ODIs and one T20I in 2016 and played in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. Having retired from professional cricket earlier this year, Chawla has played for over two decades. Throughout his career, he featured in three Tests, 25 ODIs, and seven T20Is for India, and was part of both the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup-winning squads. At the domestic level, he picked up 446 first-class wickets and is one of the most consistent spinners in Indian cricket history. In the IPL, he played 192 matches for franchises like KKR, CSK, PBKS, and MI, taking 192 wickets. “I am really excited and looking forward to coming to Vancouver and playing at BC Place. However, his experience is expected to help the Sixers in their campaign. “I’m really excited to be part of the Canada Super 60. However, following his retirement, he has featured in various leagues, including, World Championship of Legends and Nepal Premier League. The southpaw expressed his happiness at joining the Warriors.
