Rachin Ravindra burst onto the scene during the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. The New Zealand all-rounder's ability to dominate the spinners was fascinating to watch. He was brilliant against the fast bowlers, which is not something unexpected from a player who played on seam-friendly conditions in the domestic circuit. However, he seemed to have an extra second while facing bowlers bowling at over 145 kph.

The 25-year-old has played 15 Tests, 33 ODIs, and 26 T20Is so far. He is averaging 37.75, 44.04, 17.17 in the three formats, respectively. Ravindra finished as the fourth-highest run-getter in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Meanwhile, in the 2025 Champions Trophy, he scored more runs than any other batter, which also earned him the Player of the Tournament award.

Ravindra is also a talented left-arm spinner, who has 10, 21, and 13 wickets in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, respectively. His batting strike rate of 109.22 in ODI cricket is staggering. He could serve the Kiwi cricket for a very long time and could also be appointed as the skipper in the near future.
