'Let’s win 16 games in a row' - Jitesh Sharma shares special message to RCB fans ahead of IPL 2026 [Exclusive]

Coming off Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s historic maiden IPL title, wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma recently shared a message to RCB fans ahead of IPL 2026. After ending an 18-year wait for silverware last year, Jitesh has urged the franchisees' supporters to watch out for a record-breaking campaign in the upcoming season.

Jitesh’s special message to fans comes following RCB retaining him for IPL 2026. The wicketkeeper-batter was a key contributor to that success. Bought by RCB for INR 11 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction, justified the faith shown in him with impactful performances in the middle order. For the IPL 2026 season, he shared a heartfelt and confident message to RCB fans.

"Yes, let's create a record of winning 16 games in a row," he said in an exclusive chat with CricTracker.

Karthik taught me how to bat in fourth & fifth gear: Jitesh

In IPL 2025, Jitesh featured in 15 matches, scoring 261 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 176.35. His ability to finish games under pressure added a new depth to RCB’s batting line-up and played a crucial role in their championship run. His performances also earned him a recall to India’s T20I setup and selection for the Asia Cup 2025, followed by series against Australia and South Africa.

However, the cricketer suffered a major setback after being omitted from India’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad. The decision came as a shock, especially after he featured in seven consecutive T20Is and served as India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in the South Africa series. Jitesh admitted he was heartbroken.

"It was heartbreaking, as I had worked very hard to play in the ICC T20 World Cup. But that’s destiny, I can’t deny it. At that moment, I was numb and couldn’t process anything. Spending time with my family and talking to Dinesh Karthik helped me move forward," he concluded.
