POTM Quinton de Kock said:
"There have been a few tricky wickets, nice to spend time out there. USA put us under pressure, it was a great game. Just trying to focus on scoring runs, rest of it will take care of itself. We have had a few tricky wickets coming into this game, so it was great to be out there. We still have a few games to win, we are coming up against big teams. It was a good game, but it changes next time. Different venue, different team, so you never know what's out there," Quinton said.
Winning skipper Aiden Markram said:
"Gous played well. Made life tough for us. Couple of tidy overs from us and the margin could have been better. But lessons learnt. Nice start. At the half time, the wicket changed a little. It got slower. They bowled well. We would have loved to finish with a bang. Couple of lessons to take. Big for us that Quinny got his flow. Everyone else just chipped in. Couple of overs we could have tidied upon. A few executions here and there might have let us down. The wind was strong so I feel the bowlers have done a decent job," Markram said.
Losing skipper Aaron Jones said:
"I don't wanna say disappointed. I thought we could have been more disciplined with the ball. But it goes this way sometimes. I think we need to be more disciplined. We will try and go back to the board. And come back stronger. Happy to be going home. I know the conditions well," Taylor said.

The Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to kick off with a clash between South Africa (SA) and the co-hosts, United States of America (USA). Both sides will lock horns in the 41st game of the tournament at the iconic Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, in Antigua, on Wednesday, June 19.
South Africa reached the Super Eight stage of the tournament after finishing atop Group D, where they remained unbeaten and won four out of eight tour matches. On the other hand, the USA finished second in Group A of the tournament, where they were drawn with the likes of India and Pakistan.
It is worth noting that the pitch at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, is known to offer minimal seam movement to the pacers. However, bounce is provided on such a pitch, and with little to no help from the spinners, the batters will look to play the big shots against the pace when they get set.
Furthermore, the biggest question in the fansβ minds is how the weather will play out in the clash, and according to AccuWeather, the maximum temperature in Antigua is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius with a three percent chance of rainfall. Notably, tt will be the first time that South Africa will take on USA in international cricket, and both sides will be keen on putting in their best performances on the biggest stage of world cricket.
