Jos Buttler, the captain that led England to their second T20 World Cup title in 2022, is one of the most destructive batters in the world at this moment. He was also a key player in the country's triumph in the 2019 ODI World Cup, which was held in England.

The England captain has played for a variety of teams across the globe and has played many brilliant bowlers till now. Interestingly enough, during a chat with ESPN Cricinfo, he was asked about the fiercest bowler he has ever faced. The Rajasthan Royals player revealed that Jasprit Bumrah is that one bowler who gave him a tough time.

Notably, while playing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Buttler and Bumrah shared the dressing room. Buttler has been dismissed four times by Bumrah in T20 cricket, giving the latter the edge over him.

As a result of a stress fracture in his lower back, Bumrah has remained out of action.  He is most likely miss out on the first two matches of the four-match Test series between India and Australia. India would be hoping that Bumrah regains his fitness and gets to feature in the final two Tests against  the visitors.

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler has a bright year ahead with franchise cricket and a World Cup in his schedule for 2023. He is currently playing for the Paarl Royals in the inaugural edition of the SA2023. He is the captain of the ODI team that would be traveling to India for the World Cup later this year.

There is the added burden of retaining the World Cup for England this year and would be hoping to unite the squad after their recent series loss to South Africa, earlier this month. He would be playing the IPL as well and would be looking to surpass his previous season's tally, where he set the record of most hundreds in a single IPL season (3), only second to Virat Kohli who finished the 2016 edition with four centuries.
