India and Afghanistan are locking horns in Match 09 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Wednesday, October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. After opting to bat first, Afghanistan were left reeling at 63/3 inside the 14 overs. However, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (80 off 88) and Azmatullah Omarzai (62 off 69) bailed their team out of trouble with their massive 121-run stand off 127 balls.
Towards the final stages of Afghanistan’s innings, star India batter Virat Kohli was seen getting angry at wicketkeeper KL Rahul for not collecting the ball properly to run out Naveen ul Haq in the 49th over. On the second ball of the over bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Naveen flicked a yorker towards fine leg which was fielded by Kohli. The tailender managed to get two runs out of it as he dived to his full length to reach the striker’s end.
