The recent clash between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6, saw many excellent performances. After Virat Kohli scored the IPL 2024’s first century, it was the turn of ace RR batter Jos Buttler to follow in his footsteps.

Kohli’s unbeaten knock of 113 runs saw RCB post a total of 183 runs on the board in the first innings. Aiming to chase the target, the hosts got off to a subpar start as opener Yashasvi Jaiswal departed for a duck. However, it was the knock of Jos Buttler that helped Rajasthan emerge victorious.

Buttler scored 100* runs in 58 deliveries, helping RR win the game by six wickets, propelling them to their fourth consecutive win of the season. After the game, the star opener took centre stage and reflected on his performance and how it feels to come back to form.

"Little bit of luck but timed that well. Delighted to contribute to the win. However long you play the game, you have those anxiety and stresses and that's not easy. Mind is a powerful thing. Just think that everything will be okay and dig into the things you have done well, keep working hard and there's no secret to it. You need a little bit of luck along the way," Buttler was quoted as saying by IndiaToday.

I actually did feel really good in the last game: Buttler

Furthermore, Buttler opined that he did feel good in his previous game, recalling his performances earlier in the year, and revealed that he needed just one innings to continue his form.

"I actually did feel really good in the last game. I had a really good tournament in South Africa at the start of the year. Coming to the IPL, sort of relayed from the finish of that innings where I struggled a bit. I felt I needed one innings to put that to bed and now look forward," Buttler said.
