India seamer Deepak Chahar was spotted during India's training on the eve of their third Test against England in the ongoing five-match series. Chahar had not been selected in the initial 18-member squad ahead of the tour. The Rajasthan cricketer caught up with the Indian team coincidentally, as he managed to be in London.
Notably, Deepak and his wife Jaya Bharadwaj had attended Wimbledon tournament at the Centre Court, and since the Indian team is also supposed to start their third Test in London (Lord's), the pacer seemed to have reunited for a session or two with the squad. There is currently no official update on whether the Mumbai Indians' bowler's inclusion in the squad.

There has been a lot of talk in relation to workload management going on in the Indian camp of late. It has already been confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will be playing only three Tests in the series, one of which was the opening clash in Headingley. As a precautionary measure, India had also included Harshit Rana in the squad for the first match of the series, but thankfully, no injuries prevailed. Bumrah is expected to play the Lord's Test.
Speaking of how the series has progressed so far, the visiting side emerged victorious by 336 runs in the second match to strike level the series after going down by a five-wicket margin on the last day of the Headingley encounter. They would be aiming at capitalizing on their momentum and potentially go 2-1 up in the series by winning at the Home of Cricket.

Skipper Shubman Gill has been the standout performer with the bat. He has scored a total of 585 runs in four innings so far, and has looked in sublime form while in the middle. Akash Deep, who came in as Bumrah's replacement in the second match, secured a brilliant 10-wicket haul in Birmingham, acting as blessing in disguise for his side.
