Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru and South African cricketer Wayne Parnell picked four Indians in his all-time T20I XI. Parnell also named Dhoni as one of the four toughest batters he faced in his career and chose him as the skipper of his all-time XI.

He picked the left-right pair of Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma as the openers. Gayle leads the run-scoring charts with a whopping 14,562 runs at a strike rate of 144.75. Parnell also picked his 2023 RCB teammate Virat Kohli at No. 3 and had no hesitation in opting the Proteas legend AB de Villiers at No. 4

The West Indies duo of Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell were Parnell's No. 5 and No. 6. Pollard and Russell are veterans of the 20-over format and the former stands second in the run-scoring chart with 14,145 runs in a 716-match T20 career. He is the only batter in T20s amongst the top 10 leading run-getters to possess a strike rate northwards of 150 (151.26). Meanwhile, Russell has 494 wickets in T20s.
