Pakistan suffered a damaging defeat against Zimbabwe at the Perth Stadium in their second game of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. The dramatic encounter between the two sides saw Zimbabwe come out triumphant by just a solitary run after another heroic performance by the mercurial all-rounder Sikandar Raza. Former Bangladeshi skipper Habibul Bashar also praised the Pakistan-born cricketer, labeling him Zimbabwes's most valuable player at the moment.

Zimbabwe were under the pump when Shadab Khan and Shan Masood were batting at the crease for Pakistan. That is when Sikandar Raza got his side back into the game, scalping two wickets in two deliveries. He landed another telling blow on the Pakistani side by dismissing the well-set Masood in his final over to tilt the match in Zimbabwe's favour.

Former Bangladeshi skipper Habibul Bashar highlighted the all-rounder's importance to the side. He feels that Raza always comes up with crucial performances for his side, whether with the bat or the ball. The ex-cricketer praised the Zimbabwean for his brilliant bowling performance against Pakistan, which was the turning point in the match.

"Sikandar Raza is doing everything for Zimbabwe at the moment. If he is not scoring runs with the bat, he does something with the ball. His bowling was crucial for Zimbabwe today, especially the wicket of Shan Masood. Again like I said, if he does not perform with the bat, he does with the ball, and he is the most precious player for Zimbabwe at the moment," said Habibul Bashar on BatBricks7 presents 'Run ki Runneeti' on CricTracker.

Brad Evans bowled a cracking final over to take his side over the line

Coming to the match, Zimbabwe were relentless from the get-go as they made a blistering start to their batting innings, only to fade out by the end of their 20 overs. But the bowlers remained disciplined throughout the game on a lively track in Perth. Apart from Raza, Brad Evans also contributed handsomely to the famous victory with an all-round performance, scoring 19 runs with the bat and bowling an excellent final over.
