The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) suspended the women’s team’s head coach, Vidyuth Jaisimha, on Friday, February 16, after the women cricketers complained of indecent behaviour.
It is worth noting that the cricketers alleged that the head coach spoke indecently to them under the influence of alcohol when the team was travelling on a bus in January 2024. The incident occurred on January 12 but was only brought to light recently.
“Please note that an anonymous email was received by the HCA on February 15 with videos of you carrying and consuming alcohol in the team bus while on tour with the Hyderabad state team. Further, videos were also circulated in various WhatsApp groups and shown on various TV channels. This is a matter of serious concern, and I have asked for a thorough investigation to be done in this matter,” the HCA stated in the letter suspending the coach.
It is also worth noting that the HCA has asked the coach not to further involve himself in any cricketing activities on behalf of the board. Furthermore, several parents of the women cricketers have written to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and the Chief Justice of India as well, complaining about the misbehaviour.

“The head coach of the women’s team is always drunk and misbehaving with girls. It is risking the safety of our girls and also the reputation of the HCA,” the letter further read.

Hyderabad’s stadium had several complaints filed by spectators as well
Apart from the internal complaints about the women’s head coach, the state of the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad was also brought to light recently when the Indian team took on England in the first Test of the ongoing series.
Several of the English fans raised their concerns over the hygiene of the toilets in the stadium. They also made complaints about the unavailability of packaged and mineral drinking water.
