ICC announces cheapest-ever tickets for Women's World Cup in India

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made a milestone decision to make the upcoming Women’s World Cup 2025 more accessible by announcing the cheapest ticket prices in the history of any ICC global event. With the pre-sale window opening on September 4, tickets are priced as low as INR 100 (approximately USD 1.14), letting fans across India and Sri Lanka be part of cricket’s biggest women’s tournament at record affordability.
The 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, beginning on September 30 in Guwahati with the opening clash between the hosts. This will see the return of the Women’s World Cup to India after 12 years. A total of eight teams, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh, will compete across five venues: Colombo, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai.
The ICC’s decision to slash ticket prices stands out when compared to the last edition in 2022, where tickets cost NZD 7 for children and NZD 17 for adults, which was around INR 350 (USD 4.45) and INR 850 (USD 10), respectively. The 2025 edition’s base ticket of INR 100 makes this tournament eight times cheaper than its predecessor.

Second phase of pre-sale window begins on September 9
The pre-sale window for tickets began on September 4 at 7 PM IST via Google Pay on the official ticketing site, Tickets.cricketworldcup.com. This exclusive partnership with Google is ICC’s first women-led global partnership. Fans who miss the pre-sale can still secure tickets when the second phase begins on September 9 at 8 PM IST.
The ICC recently announced a record prize money pool of USD 13.88 million, nearly four times higher than the USD 3.5 million given in 2022. Notably, the opening ceremony in Guwahati will feature a live performance by renowned Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal. She will also present the tournament’s official anthem, Bring it Home, in a grand show supported by on-ground activations and thematic visuals.
