The high-octane clash between India and Pakistan saw the former win the battle in a humdinger of a match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at Melbourne. A sensational knock by Virat Kohli quite literally took the game away from the Babar Azam-led side in what was a game for them to lose at one stage.

India were down with four wickets for under 50 runs and then came the solid 113-run partnership of Kohli and Hardik Pandya that changed the complexion of the game. Moreover, the historic innings (82* off 53 balls) Kohli produced in the electrifying contest has been praised by many in the cricketing fraternity.

Former Australia cricketer Stuart Law was elated by the performance that took place in a crucial encounter and schooled teams citing Kohli’s knock. “If you want to learn how to play T20 cricket, just get a copy of that innings. That’s how you play T20 cricket! If the West Indies are watching, that’s how you play T20 cricket. He (Kohli) had everything- technique, grace, power, running between the wickets aggressively,” said Law on 'BatBricks7 presents Run Ki Runneeti show on CricTracker.

"Nothing else you need. I didn’t see any reverse sweep, didn’t see any ramp over the keeper’s head, I just saw good pure cricket shots from an absolutely class man,” he added.

The former India skipper seemed out of form for nearly two years and was on the lookout for a major comeback. He had a fine outing in the recent Asia Cup 2022 but this particular innings against Asian giants Pakistan will hand him and the side a major boost ahead of the rest of the fixtures in the marquee tournament.
